In spring, the earth blossoms, rejuvenates, and revives following winter's sleep. The appearance of new flowers gives the name for this celebration: Tsakhkazard (“adorned by flowers”). This folkloric event was also known as Tsarzardar (“adornment of trees”). This also symbolizes the start of spring.
This festival is associated with the Armenian pagan god Ara Geghehtseek (Ara “the handsome”).According to legend, the Assyrian queen, Semiramis, killed him when she was enraged because her love for Ara was spurned when he remained faithful to his wife. The legend says that Ara was then awakened from the dead. This is symbolized in the awakening of the earth after winter's sleep. Ara, representing the dry and barren earth, is regenerated.

Anna Hayrapetyan was guest in Abovyan city and in “Elona” beauty salon. Anna has graduated from the Optimus training center in Moscow, has a professional pediatrist’s diploma, she has been retrained in Germany and France, has participated in Wella – color congress of international seminars in Sochy in 2001-2003. This was her second visit in Abovyan, for the first time she participated in “Navasard” party as a member of the jury, thus the aim of second visit was the exchange of experiences and here she represented the European most fashionable haircuts and color tones.
Spring is a renaissance, the spring is a new life when you want to love, when the soul flies out of the cage and soars in most inconceivable corners of the world. In my opinion, this is the shape of the spring. And as we - Armenians are gallant, mother, family; children are the primary things for us; so it’s not accidental that one spring-month is devoted exactly to them (from March 8th to the April 7th).
Internet appeared in its incipiency in Armenia for the time of 90s, but for many years the feasibility of caring out the Dial Up connection was rather impossible in Abovyan city. Only in 2002 had been made the first attempts in this sphere – the premier internet club was opened which couldn’t secure the demands of the Abovyan internet users as this city had a great request. Although the fact of opening internet clubs’ existence in turn was quite gratifying but the problem of satisfying high speed was still left unsolved.
Talking about such field it is worth to mention that it was impossible to form prerequisites for internet development in this city for the following occasions – on the one hand the bad state of rendering services, on the other hand the lack of user’s knowledge level, and also the “exclusive” limitations of Armentel in the domain of communication.
Arcakh Buniatyan was born in 1939, March 2nd in Gharabagh (Arcakh), in the Martakert’s village called Mets Shen. He has entered the medical institute in 1959, the surgical department and in 1965 graduated from it. After he has been sent on business to the Kaliningrad province, city Adbasar and till 1968 he has been working in the hospital as surgeon, then continued his activities in the Leninakan’s (Gyumri) railway-hospital. At the end of the same year he has moved to Abovyan city and worked here till 1992.
He was active member of the Arcakh movement. The press published his poems, publicizing articles with great pleasure. For his honest and diligence work the entire population of Abovyan city and the Kotayk region treat Arcakh Buniatyan with profound respect. Thus in 1988-1989, during in national excitements, in Abovyan’s stadium the citizens gifted him the name ARCAKH (real name is Dalton) which he bears with love and pride.
This year the Armenian nation celebrates the 140 anniversary of General Andranik. He devoted his entire lifetime to the straggle of national-liberation.
The matinee took place in the public association’s hall named “Solidarity Renaissance” where had their own speeches the volunteers of the association, the Doctor of History Vladimir Petrosyan, the Abovyan citizens – Varuj Aghajanyan with his author – songs, Harutyun Stepanyan with his photo-exhibition.
The songs of Varuj were saturated with patriotic spirit, with call of protest shed of innocent blood, and here we ask ourselves:” What for”? Yes, what for Sumgayit, what for Genocide, what for going about caging from people, wandering from one refuge to another without knowing where we are looking for a country...(quotation from the song)?
